I am getting a 106 error code or "Cannot establish connection"?

I am getting a 106 error code or "Cannot establish connection"?

An 106 error code means that the Simplewire SMS Software Development Kit cannot communicate via the Internet to the Simplewire Wireless Messaging Network. This is purely a network related issue and it more than likely means that the computer that the SDK is installed on is behind a proxy server or firewall. However, please make sure you have tried all of these things first before contacting Simplewire Support.

1. Can you successfully perform a "ping" to "wmp-test.simplewire.com" On Windows, you need to go to the command prompt and type "ping wmp-test.simplewire.com". On Unix systems, you need to type "ping wmp-test.simplewire.com" in a terminal window.

2. If your ping comes back with no success then jump to 3. However, if your ping comes back with a success then make sure you are setting the ServerName property correct in your SDK. Again, refer to your SDK Manual for the correct syntax.

3. Is your ConnectionTimeout property set too low? A good setting is anywhere from 30000 to 60000.

4. Is the computer with the SDK connected to the Internet from behind a firewall or proxy server?

5. If it is then have you tried to set the Proxy settings within the SDK? If you have not then please refer to your SDK Manual for the correct syntax.
