What is a Carrier ID?

What is a Carrier ID?

A Carrier ID is a proprietary ID that is assigned by Simplewire to each carrier that our network supports. If a Carrier ID is not used within our client's scripts, then our central network will attempt to figure out the carrier or "recognize" it from the phone number/pin of the device used in the script. Therefore, we recommend that you do not set the Carrier ID. We determine the carrier for you from the phone number, and entering your own Carrier ID may cause errors if you enter the wrong Carrier ID.

To see a list of Carrier ID's, please visit the coverage section or refer to your Software Development Kit manual in order to learn how to execute a "Service List" command.
