The Simplewire™ Developer Program offers developers the opportunity to create and quality-assure their wireless messaging application before commercially releasing it. The program is free of charge and provides wireless development tools and resources to help developers get started. Developers may create an account, and then receive a Developer Subscriber ID. This will give the developer access to evaluation versions of the Simplewire™ SMS Software Development Kit (Perl, Java, ActiveX, Shared-Object, and PHP). The developer may integrate the kits into their code, and test the application at no cost. Evaluation messages can be sent to a virtual mobile phone, and a virtual inbox, which are provided by Simplewire for testing purposes.In addition, users will be able to purchase Demo Message Credits in order to send live evaluation messages to actual mobile devices on all networks supported by the Simplewire Wireless Messaging Network.
Along with the evaluation software, developers will obtain access to the Developers section of the Simplewire website. This section contains the Simplewire Knowledge Base and Code Central areas, in order to keep developers fully informed. The Simplewire Knowledge Base is the definitive location in which to find technical documentation regarding Simplewire’s products and services. All technical articles, manuals and white papers can be downloaded from this section. In addition, reference materials, such as carrier ID’s and international calling codes, may be found here. Simplewire Code Central is the ultimate resource for information regarding integration of Simplewire’s products and services into existing code. The section gives examples of code created by Simplewire’s expert staff, as well as source code contributed by other users. Code Central is also the place where developers may request a code example to meet their specific needs.
In order to commercially launch the application, the user will purchase a commercial license for the Simplewire SMS Software Development Kit on our website or by calling the Simplewire Sales Team. Upon payment, the Developer Subscriber ID will be upgraded to a Commercial Subscriber ID, offering full commercial access to the Simplewire SMS Software Development Kit and the Simplewire™ Wireless Messaging Network.
