Simplewire Platform Included with YadaYada?s Wireless Service Package
DETROIT, MI, February 15, 2001 - Simplewire, a wireless text-messaging platform announced a strategic partnership with YadaYada Inc., the first fully integrated Mobile Web Portal and wireless Internet access platform providing wireless connectivity, mobile applications, and content for PDAs. The partnership enables YadaYada to implement Simplewire?s wireless text-messaging functionality into the YadaYada Wireless Service Package for the Palm? and Handspring™. The enhanced Simplewire functionality allows YadaYada equipped Palms to send a text-message to any other wireless mobile device.
The YadaYada Wireless Service Package offers a suite of software, which includes utilities for obtaining traffic and weather information, sports scores, stock quotes and email. In order to provide a fully functional wireless package, YadaYada contacted Simplewire to implement the Short Messaging Service (SMS) component of their Palm™ and Handspring™ service package. Simplewire offered YadaYada its enormously popular Palm? SMS interface to complement YadaYada?s already gripping software package.
YadaYada and Simplewire will continue to collaborate on future wireless endeavors, particularly those bringing advanced SMS capabilities to the mobile user.
